Constitution
Article 1 - Name
The name of this organization is to be called the Linguistics Youth Club (LYC). The name of the board overseeing the Linguistics Youth Club is to be called the Linguistics Youth Club Board (LYCB).
Article 2 - Membership
Section 1
All students enrolled in the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, or 13th year of K-12 education or equivalent or at a corresponding age and dwelling in the United States of America are eligible for membership.
Section 2
Membership registration and its logistics are to be managed by the Linguistics Youth Club Board President. Membership is only to be denied by the Linguistics Youth Club Board President with a reasonable suspicion that the entity awaiting membership registration is potentially pernicious to the general welfare of the American People or to the reputation of the Linguistics Youth Club.
Section 3
All members of the Linguistics Youth Club are to comply with all rules and ordinances of the club and participate in its activities with dedication.
Article 3 - Local chapters
Section 1
All local chapters are to be chartered and overseen by the Linguistics Youth Club Board President. The process and logistics of this are to be managed by the Linguistics Youth Club Board President as well.
Section 2
All local chapters have a degree of autonomy only under the Linguistics Youth Club Board, and their charters can be revoked at the discretion of the Linguistics Youth Club Board President at any time.
Article 4 - Linguistics Youth Club Board
Section 1
The Linguistics Youth Club Board has absolute authority over any matter pertaining to the Linguistics Youth Club.

The following are the member types of the Linguistics Youth Club Board listed by rank:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Section 3
The Linguistics Youth Club Board President is to delegate the members of the Linguistics Youth Club Board as stated in Article 4, Section 2 of this Constitution, only upon vacancy of them. They cannot be replaced any other time.
Section 4
The Linguistics Youth Club Board President can only be replaced upon his or her resignation or vacancy. A democratic election among all members of the Linguistics Youth Club is to be held in order to ascertain the successor, and this election and its logistics are to be managed by the Linguistics Youth Club Board Vice President. Any registered member of the Linguistics Youth Club can become a candidate.
Section 5
The Linguistics Youth Club Board President has the authority to conduct the following actions:
Devise, amend, or rescind any rule or ordinance inferior to this Constitution (to be punctiliously recorded by the Linguistics Youth Club Board Technology Director on the website of the Linguistics Youth Club quickly and with fidelity)
Designate or modify the website or websites or any technology or resource of the Linguistics Youth Club
Hold fundraisers and use funds of the Linguistics Youth Club in a manner that benefits the United States of America and its People
Summon a real-life meeting (this is only to be held within the State of California if conducted)
Announce and execute a project of the Linguistics Youth Club
All rights and responsibilities stated in Article 4 of this Constitution
Any action that complies with this Constitution and is necessary and proper to benefit the United States of America and its People or support the logistics of the Linguistics Youth Club
Article 5 - Amendments
Section 1
All amendments are to entail a majority vote (higher than 50%) within the members of the Linguistics Youth Club Board and approval of the Linguistics Youth Club Board President. All elections for amendments and their logistics are to be managed by the Linguistics Youth Club Board President.
Section 2
The Linguistics Youth Club Board Technology Director is to punctiliously record all amendments and previous versions of this Constitution on the website of the Linguistics Youth Club quickly and with fidelity.
Article 6 - Miscellaneous
Section 1
The Linguistics Youth Club greatly values the following five most rudimentary pillars:
Law and order: Absolutely complying with all federal, state, and local laws. Having a solid hierarchy where members show deference to all applicable rules and policies.
Integrity: Being a responsible and honest scholar.
Patriotism: Devotion to the United States of America and its People.
Regional identity: Knowing the idiosyncratic qualities of one’s own region and taking pride in its language and culture as well.
Mutual respect: Treating each other with courtesy and kindness.
Section 2
The Linguistics Youth Club is based in the State of California. All matters are therefore to be based on the circumstances of the State of California by default.
Section 3
This Constitution has absolute authority over all other bylaws of the Linguistics Youth Club.
